Tradition and Craftmanship

Majuun honors craftsmanship and carries it forward through considered design that bridges tradition and modernity, recognizing weaving as art. As part of this journey, we work toward accessible luxury with a purpose-driven, socially responsible intent.

Artisan made

We believe in women’s innate power to uplift themselves. Our first collection was create by artisans in remote villages who work from home.  Our partnerships with these female artisans enable them to contribute to their families and influence financial decisions. Each handcrafted weave embodies empowerment, becoming a catalyst for global progress.

While women are at the heart of our first collection, we are committed to honoring the skills of all artisans who keep weaving traditions alive.

Our Creative Journey

Majuun is built on the relationship between artisans, culture, and raw materials evolving into form.

Our Founder and Creative Director, Mari, worked in footwear design for luxury fashion houses in New York City, where she experienced the balance between creative vision and the realities of global production. Over the past decade of traveling to India to visit family, she built relationships with artisan communities and developed a deep respect for weaving traditions that use locally sourced natural fibers. Each process holds a story, its heritage, its purpose, and how it continues to evolve through the people who keep it alive. These journeys eventually led her to the macrame artisans of Bangladesh, where our first collection began.

Majuun grew from this understanding that creation is inseparable from the people and cultures that shape it. It exists as a collective effort, a shared pursuit of beauty, skill, and connection, reminding us that nothing meaningful is made alone.
